# Midweek Childcare Worker South Gilbert Campus - Gilbert, AZ 85298## Description

POSITION SUMMARY  The Midweek Childcare Worker is responsible for providing nurturing and developmentally appropriate care within our childcare programs to support the spiritual development of parents during midweek Next Steps programs. This position works to create a fun, safe, welcoming experience for children while they and their parents are on campus for midweek Next Step programs. In all actions they reflect the SVCC team leadership distinctives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  
1. Provide nurturing care to children  
2. Guide developmentally appropriate activities for children utilizing provided program plan  3. May lead children in Bible lesson, classroom activities, and activities out-of-doors  
4. Provide welcoming guest experience for parents  
5. Maintain clean and safe classroom environments, as a team  
6. Maintain accurate accounting of ministries served and hours worked through Sun Valley’s current payroll system

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY  N/AWORK ENVIRONMENT  This job operates in a child care environment. The position interacts with children in preschool and elementary classrooms on a regular basis.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS  This role requires the following physical activities: bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting, walking, finger dexterity, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing and visual acuity. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
