The Parish Center Custodian helps St Nicholas in its mission to lead all to the Father through Jesus Christ, by ensuring that the parish hall facilities are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion and are “ready to be used”. The custodian helps provide a pleasant, cleanly environment in which our school and church community gathers and learns.

• Assures the St Nicholas Parish Center is maintained in a clean and orderly fashion and that Parish Center resources are “ready to be used” as scheduled. This includes and is not limited to: dry mopping floors, wet mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning kitchen appliances, laundering cleaning related items, collecting and disposing of trash / recycling items and washing windows.
• Daily cleans the lunchroom area after the school lunches, cleans restrooms, and removes all trash and recycling.
• When requested prepares Parish Center resources for scheduled activities. This includes and is not limited to arranging tables and chairs, providing instructions in the use of multi‑media resource and supporting special events.
• Provides custodian coverage for other buildings as directed by the Director of Operations when other staff members are unavailable.
• Assists on occasion with major cleaning projects at the other campuses in our parish family, ie St Gabriel Port Orchard and Prince of Peace Belfair.
• Performs major cleaning and maintenance projects as scheduled.
• Other duties as assigned.

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
