NOW HIRING FOR 26-27 SCHOOL YEAR: PRINCIPAL AT PENINSULA HIGH SCHOOL

POSITION

DESCRIPTION:

The Peninsula School District is seeking an outstanding Principal who is a strong instructional leader, who demonstrates intellectual curiosity, brings a growth mindset, cultivates a school culture where all students and staff feel valued and included, and has a passion for helping students and staff succeed through building culture and community. The Principal promotes the educational development of each student, performs administrative duties including the supervision and evaluation of staff, coordinates instructional programs, and maintains responsibility for other administrative duties as assigned.

This person will also work with district administration to articulate the district's strategic plan and provide visionary leadership necessary to attain goals. Please see attached job description for complete details.

PREFERRED

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

* Minimum three (3) years prior successful teaching experience.

* Minimum five (5) years of school leadership experience

* Experience & knowledge in Washington State Assessments / the Common Core.

* Successful experience in secondary school leadership.

* Master's degree in Educational Administration or related field, preferred.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:

* Valid Washington State Administrator's Certificate with Principal's Endorsement, required.

* Valid Washington State Driver's License or evidence of mobility.

* Ability to build a strong, student-centered culture and climate.

* Effective communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and staff

* Understanding of high school systems and programs and how to improve them.

* Ability to resolve conflicts and solve complex problems.

* Ability to research and implement effective educational practices.

* Ability to be firm, fair, consistent, flexible, and creative.

* Ability to facilitate successful implementation of the critical standards and skills in the teaching and learning process.

* Understanding of child development and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
