Merchandiser ensures products are in the right place, at the right time, in the right quantity, and presented attractively to maximize sales, involving tasks like stocking shelves, creating displays, managing inventory, setting prices, analyzing sales data, and coordinating with suppliers and retail teams to optimize product visibility and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Presentation:
Design and set up eye-catching in-store displays, shelves, and promotional areas.

Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels, perform stock counts, prevent stockouts, and report issues to management.

Sales & Data Analysis:
Track sales performance, identify trends, and report on profits and losses to optimize product placement and promotions.

Pricing & Promotions:
Implement pricing strategies, set price tags, and execute promotional activities like markdowns.

Supplier & Team Coordination:
Liaise with buyers, suppliers, and store staff to ensure timely deliveries and coordinated efforts.

Typical Duties:

Stocking shelves and rotating inventory, Negotiating with suppliers for better terms, Creating product databases and catalogues, and Training store staff on product placement.

Skills &

Qualifications:

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Analytical skills for sales data.

Often requires a High School Diploma/GED and sometimes a driver's license.
