Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level I Trauma Center requiring recent trauma experience and a compact or TN RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in a large hospital Emergency Department at a Level I Trauma Center
- Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Weekend shifts and on-call coverage required as needed
- RNs may float to similar units or campuses within 20 miles, though floating between campuses is rare
- Uses Cerner EMR, with experience preferred
- Former employees must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
- Must be willing to work 2 of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if assignment spans those dates, or at least 1 of 2 if only two fall within contract
- All time-off requests must be included at submission; changes or additions are not accepted after offer is made
- Teamwork and adaptability required for floating as needed
- Cerner EMR orientation provided if needed
- Active TN or compact RN license in hand prior to consideration; pending licenses are not accepted
- Minimum of 2 years recent Emergency Department experience required; 3+ years preferred
- Level I Trauma Center experience required
- At least one completed previous travel assignment required; first-time travelers not eligible unless they have 3 or more years of recent ED experience
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
- Driver’s license required for consideration
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
