Overview

We are looking for a Software Scrum Master & Engineering Manager to lead our high-performing development team through the full software lifecycle. In this role, you will balance technical resource management with Agile advocacy to ensure the delivery of scalable, business-aligned solutions.

What You Will Do
  • Facilitate Agile-based project activities:
Ensure that all Agile ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) are effectively carried out. Protect the team from external distractions and eliminate impediments to progress.
  • Technical Stewardship:
Interpret and communicate the technical director’s plans to the team, ensuring alignment and understanding. Define system architecture, coding standards, and engineering best practices. Oversee quality, technical debt, and the integration of modern tools like AI-augmented development workflows.
  • Stakeholder & Resource Management:
Collaborate with Product Owners to refine backlogs and align technical requirements with product roadmaps. Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and timelines while providing data-driven status reports to executive leadership.
  • Monitor & Improve:
Manage and verify all requirements, test plans, demo preparations, bug lists, and IRAD (Independent Research and Development) work. Sign off on completed work after thorough validation, ensuring all tasks meet the specified standards. Keep a detailed account of project status updates and facilitate the smooth progress of all project activities. Foster a "fail fast, learn fast" culture, using agile metrics (e.g., velocity, cycle time) to drive team efficiency and innovation.
  • Strategic Planning & Business Development:
Assist in aligning product development cycles and performance benchmarks with the broader company strategy. Work with business development teams to draft winning proposals and maintain strong customer relations.
Position Requirements
  • Experience:

Minimum of 7+ years in a relevant project management or Scrum Master role, preferably in a technical or engineering environment.
  • Educational background:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Skills:

Proficiency in Agile methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban; excellent organizational and time-management abilities; strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively coordinate with all project stakeholders; keen attention to detail, ensuring high-quality standards in all deliverables; ability to adapt quickly and efficiently to changing project priorities and demands.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certifications.
  • Familiarity with project management and issue tracking tools such as Jira or Trello.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Domain knowledge in ATM, GBDAA, and/or C-UAS.
