Financial Planning & Analysis; FP&A Intern

Summary:

Herrick Technology Laboratories, Inc. (HTL) is looking for an FP&A Intern to support financial planning, budgeting and analytics. Reporting to the Director of FP&A, the FP&A intern will play a critical role providing actionable insights to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors.

HTL is a leading provider of software-defined radio, electronic warfare (EW) and signals intelligence (SIGINT) products for the U.S. Department of Defense. In 2024, Blue Delta Capital Partners invested in HTL to accelerate the deployment of EW and SIGINT platforms to U.S. defense and intelligence customers and improve its ability to carry out strategic tuck-in acquisitions.

Description:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the FP&A function—budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Track performance against budgets, forecasts, and performance targets while improving precision and accuracy in reporting and monitoring financial metrics proactively.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports highlighting trends and insights for decision making.
• Collaborate across functions to gather and analyze financial data, present findings to senior management and implement strategies that successfully drive margin and workflow improvements.

QUALIFICATION

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, accounting or business.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional work ethic and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
