Qualifications
- BS degree in Civil Engineering
- 0-3 years’ experience in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or working towards it within the next year preferred
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Responsibilities
This position will require carrying out the following assignments and roles within an interdisciplinary environment:
- Work on various tasks within a diverse, multi-disciplinary design team including civil engineers, planners, surveyors, landscape architects, and CAD drafters
- Design and prepare engineering documents for specific design components of a project, including sediment erosion control, storm drain design and computations, water and sewer design, grade establishment plans, maintenance of traffic plans, and right-of-way improvement plans
- Coordinate efforts with clients, agencies, consultants, and VIKA staff
