Overview
Our client, a manufacturer of turbojet engines, is seeking a Facility and Maintenance Technician
. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing facility systems and equipment at their newly established manufacturing facility in Fulton Co., Georgia. The role ensures reliable operations of building infrastructure, production equipment, and support systems, enabling safe and efficient manufacturing throughput.
- Routine Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
- Repairs and Maintenance: Perform both minor and major repairs to building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical.
- Preventative Maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- System Monitoring: Operate and maintain HVAC and other facility systems for peak efficiency.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to urgent maintenance calls and support emergency readiness plans.
- Equipment Setup: Install and configure new equipment and machinery.
- Inventory Management: Manage repair tools, spare parts, and supplies.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installation, repair, and maintenance activities.
- Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Strong problem-solving ability with the skill to diagnose and repair issues quickly.
- High attention to detail with a strong safety focus.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with other teams.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work standing for extended periods.
- Lean manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (ITAR-compliant facility requirement).
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 10% (Europe, first year).
- Based in a manufacturing facility environment (noise, protective gear required).
- Physically demanding role requiring standing, walking, and lifting.
