PositionSummary
BWT Logistics is seeking an engaging and knowledgeable Systems Specialist (Logistics Operations) to serve as the end‑user systems expert and on‑the‑floor operational partner across our warehouse and transportation network.
This is an exciting role for someone who brings hands‑on expertise in SAP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Freight Management Systems (FMS) and can turn complex processes into clear, effective, hands‑on training. You will play a key role in ensuring employees understand and confidently use our systems—supporting everything from daily workflows to performance accuracy and reporting.
You will work closely with operations leadership to reinforce system consistency, drive performance, improve data accuracy, and align workflows with site‑level goals and KPIs. Success in this role requires reliability, professionalism, and adherence to BWT policies.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for SAP, WMS, and FMS systems across BWT Logistics.
- Partner with operations leadership to strengthen system adoption and improve performance.
- Train employees, leads, and supervisors on end‑to‑end system functionality.
- Develop and deliver structured training programs, SOPs, quick reference guides, and job aids.
- Conduct engaging on‑site and virtual training across multiple BWT locations.
- Support new site launches, transitions, and system implementations.
- Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate with IT and operations to resolve challenges.
- Audit system usage for compliance, accuracy, and consistent workflow execution.
- Identify opportunities to optimize system processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Support inventory accuracy, productivity tracking, and operational reporting.
- Deliver system training as part of new‑hire onboarding.
- Ensure systems support operational goals, KPIs, and performance expectations.
- Travel as needed to BWT locations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- 3+ years of hands‑on SAP, WMS, or FMS experience in a logistics, warehouse, or transportation environment.
- Strong understanding of end‑user system workflows.
- Experience training or coaching employees on system usage required.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and transportation processes.
- Ability to simplify and clearly communicate complex technical concepts.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and process improvement skills.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Must work onsite in Atlanta or Adairsville, GA.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation abilities.
