Responsibilities:
• Prepares documentation for prescribed operational readiness inspections and United States Special Operations Command. (USASOC) Command Supply Discipline Program (CDSP) Inspections.
• Prepares and submits all reports and requests to the appropriate higher headquarters.
• Assists in the scheduling of transportation of bulk training ammunition and residue to and from the Ammunition Supply Point (ASP).
• Maintains and updates all ammunition account/records and reconciliation with supporting Installation Ammunition Managers and ASP.
• Advises and briefs Commanders and Staff on current ammunition account issues, status and accountability.
• Combat Load (CL) and Operational Load (OPL) Management Support:
• Maintains supported unit Basic Load Ammunition IAW approved Fiscal Year authorizations of Standard and Non-Standard Ammunition using the Total Ammunition management Information System (TAMIS).
• Ensures CL ammunition is properly accounted for as indicated by regulatory guidance and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Prepares and processes all manual and electronic DA Form 581 Request for issue and Turn-in of Operational and Basic Load Ammunition.
• Conducts a joint semi-annual inventory of Basic Load Ammunition.
• Training Ammunition Management Support:
• Manages supported unit ammunition account in TAMIS and in Excel spreadsheet format, and both automated/manual DA Form 5203 DODIC Master Lot Locator Record.
• Monitors supported unit Fiscal Year Authorizations to project critical shortages and ensure expenditures do not exceed authorizations.
• Prepares and submits of all Initial Ammunition Authorization increases and annual turn backs.
• Verifies and approves individual company ammunition forecasts and consolidation of forecasts into one monthly supported are not unit forecast.
• Prepares and processes all manual and electronic DA Form
• 581 Requests for Issue and Turn-in of Training Ammunition.
• Prepares and submits all DA Form 5692 Ammunition Consumption Certificates and DA Form 5811-R Lost or Damaged Class 5 Ammunition Item Certificates.
• Schedules transportation for movement of training ammunition in support of training events occurring at locations away from home station. Requirements:
• Possess a secret security clearance prior to beginning support of this effort and maintain said clearance throughout duration of support of this effort.
• Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and be able to obtain appropriate special license/certification for equipment to be operated to include but not limited to: forklifts and 15K truck.
• Possess excellent work ethics, verbal and written communication skills and be detailed and accurate in performing all administrative and
• routine functions.
• Be able to work in an environment that is fast paced while completing multiple tasks and meeting stringent timelines. Be able to work independently without direct supervision.
• Be able to write correspondence in a military format, when necessary, such as correspondence using the Army Writing System in accordance AR 25-50.
• Enter data into multiple databases or spreadsheets. Ensure consistency and appropriate cross-referencing for both newly entered and previously entered data. Retrieve data and use data to respond to a variety of customer and vendor inquiries. Perform research to determine reasons for patterns of transaction errors and failures.
