Summary
As a fast‑paced dispatcher, you coordinate customer requests to meet and exceed expectations. Working with DSV Road Transport contractors, drivers and partners, you track pick‑ups and deliveries, resolve issues, and maintain accurate data entry.
- Dispatch drivers for U.S. domestic shipment pick‑ups and deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and internal policies.
- Prioritize time‑sensitive cargo and support customer service goals.
- Develop positive relationships with contractors, company drivers and customers.
- Use transportation software to plan, schedule and track shipments.
- Track shipment information from pick‑up through delivery.
- Resolve problems and implement corrective actions.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders and promote the DSV brand.
- Assist with new account start‑ups and perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED; logistics/transportation experience preferred.
- 1‑3 years of dispatch or logistics coordination experience.
- Experience coordinating domestic shipments and tracking freight through delivery.
- Familiarity with dispatch software and strong data entry skills.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance, or ability to learn quickly.
- Strong customer service, communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced team‑oriented environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong English language skills;
Spanish is a plus. - Intermediate mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and operational needs.
- Dependable, accountable and committed to meeting expectations.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Flexible to work non‑standard hours as required.
Primarily sedentary; requires extended periods of sitting, typing, and data entry. Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching may be required. Vision for reviewing data and screens is required.
Work EnvironmentOperates in office, dispatch center, terminal and operations environments. Regular interaction with drivers, dispatch teams, customers, contractors and partner carriers. Occasional exposure to weather conditions and moderate noise levels. Early mornings, late evenings, weekend coverage or non‑standard hours may be required.
Pay Range$20.75 – $27.75 hourly, based on experience, skills and geographic location.
