Field/Service Technician
The Lead Technician for Serclean’s Asbestos Division is responsible for overseeing day-to-day asbestos abatement operations and supervising field crews. This includes managing containment setup, safe material removal, regulatory compliance, jobsite documentation, and customer communication.
Essential Functions- Oversee daily asbestos abatement operations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NESHAP, and state regulations.
- Coordinate containment, negative air systems, and decontamination units.
- Communicate with adjusters, homeowners, and project managers.
- Provide clear updates and resolve customer concerns.
- Ensure accurate job records, manifests, clearances, and waste tickets.
- Support technicians on complex projects.
- Ensure professional service and resolve performance issues.
- Ensure trucks are stocked with asbestos equipment.
- Coordinate with Warehouse Manager for repairs and inventory.
- Review project reports for quality and efficiency.
- Work with sales, estimating, and finance.
- Use job management tools and mobile applications.
/ Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma
Experience:
Minimum 2 years in asbestos abatement, Water Mitigation or hazardous materials work.
Certifications:
State-required asbestos supervisor certifications strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Ability to read asbestos reports, scopes, and regulatory documents.
Other Requirements:
Clean background check, drug test, and valid Georgia driver's license.

Ability to wear full asbestos PPE: respirators, protective suits, gloves, safety glasses, and work boots. Includes office and field work. Field conditions involve asbestos contamination zones with strict PPE procedures required.
