Overview

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Trailer Mechanics at our Ellenwood, GA Service Center. As a Trailer Mechanic, your responsibilities will include the diagnostic process, repair work, and overall maintenance of our trailers.

Pay
:
Earn up to $37.75 per hour.

Schedule
:
Full-time, Monday – Friday, 2nd and 3rd shifts.

The Trailer Mechanic will:

• Perform diagnostic processes, repair work, and routine maintenance on trailers.
• Ensure work meets manufacturer 9s specifications and applicable regulations.
• Conduct safety inspections and prepare safety documentation required by FMCSA, company policies, and other regulations.

• Experienced in performing safety inspections of equipment and preparing safety documents required by FMCSA, company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals.
• Experience in repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems.
• Experience in testing equipment for proper performance and to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Own your own tools.
• Dependable and prepared to work in varying climate conditions when needed.

• Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System.
• Welding.
• Experience driving yard tractors/trailers.
• Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles.
• Sheet metal and composite panel repair.
