Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Trailer/Chassis Mechanic in Crandall GA
.

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trailers and chassis, including brakes, suspension, axles, landing gear, and structural components
• Inspect equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, or structural issues
• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Repair or replace damaged components such as air lines, lights, tires, rims, and wiring
• Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed (steel and aluminum)
• Accurately document repairs, inspections, and maintenance records
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company and OSHA standards
• Communicate findings and repair recommendations with supervisors and dispatch teams

• 1–3+ years of experience as a Trailer, Chassis, or Fleet Mechanic
• Strong knowledge of trailer systems, including air brake systems and electrical components
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and repair diagrams
• Welding experience preferred (MIG/Stick)
• Familiarity with DOT and FMCSA regulations
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions

• Brake certification or DOT inspection certification
• Experience working with intermodal chassis or container equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
