Telecommunications IMR Technician

Type: Full-time Hourly Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $25 to $33 plus $4.93 Health & Welfare (H&W)

Requirements:

• U.S. Citizen
• Active/recent U.S. government security clearance
• Minimum of one-year hands-on experience with Cat5d, Cat6 cable installation, maintenance and repair, in an office and/or warehouse environment.
• Minimum of three years hands-on experience testing/termination of copper cable at phone closet to jack.

Desired:

• BICSI Technician I certification.

Job Description:

• Install and locate copper cable drops within an office space environment.
• Test and terminate at phone closet and jack locations for connectivity.
• Climb ladders and work for extended periods of time pulling cable through walls and overhead areas within a building space.

Physical/Mental Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

• Talk and hear.
• Stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb.
• Work in tight spaces.
• Lift and move items over 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Drive from work site to work site as needed.
