As a Team Lead in our Distribution Center, you’ll be a self‑motivated, ambitious team‑player with excellent leadership and communication skills, working in a fast‑paced warehouse where safety and efficiency are top priorities. You will perform various leadership, asset protection, and safety functions—training, investigations, report reviews, audit processes, compliance, operation of security systems/equipment—and ensure a safe and secure environment.
MajorDuties and Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for people and property in and around the distribution center, trailer yard and offices.
- Enforce building access guidelines.
- Train and coach the team to successfully fulfill their duties.
- Interact with Burlington associates, executives and vendor representatives in a professional manner, providing quick attention to answer questions and find solutions.
- Use and maintain a working camera surveillance system—complete necessary testing, updates and record keeping.
- Administer building card access system, create badges, grant access and conduct audits on access points as needed.
- Audit yard reports and assist with end‑of‑month audits.
- Conduct investigations and accurately document findings.
- Assist in fire drills, safety inspections, and other tasks designed to maintain a high level of protection and safety.
- Provide support to the AP Supervisor by monitoring and addressing the team's performance.
- Valid driver's license for use of company security vehicle.
- 1–3 years of asset protection or related experience.
- Exceptional organization skills, ability to multitask and prioritize work activity based on need.
- Strong interpersonal interaction skills, with a courteous and professional demeanor.
- Attention to detail, initiative, and follow‑through skills.
- Excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Yard Management, and Outlook.
