As a Security Officer - Evening Neighborhood Patrol in Jacksonville, FL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a fast‑paced tech and telecom location. You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security‑related incidents, and respond to alarms, access questions, and guest needs with calm, professional communication.

Working with a caring, people‑first team, you will document observations, share timely updates, and bring integrity, agility, and reliability to every shift.

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies and post orders, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, loading docks and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and control entry for staff, vendors and/or deliveries by verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials as required, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public emergency services as needed, and providing clear updates to leadership.
• Complete shift activity logs and incident reports, document security‑related observations, and use site technology such as CCTV, access control systems and/or mobile reporting tools as assigned.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
