Mission description
The Sales Manager Helicopter Systems for North America plays a key role in driving sales and marketing initiatives by leading efforts to identify, secure, and develop new business opportunities. This includes promoting and selling products and services, as well as managing special projects. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the North American aviation market, with a particular focus on the helicopter sector.
The Sales Manager will have responsibility for achieving the sales targets established by Safran Aerosystems Services for their assigned region and / or customer base. The position will assist Safran Aerosystems Services Marketing team and the Safran Group OEM's in developing the after-market sales strategy and goals to grow Safran Aerosystems Services business with Helicopter Operators, MROs, and other customers.
- Achieves marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
- Lead Helicopter Sales initiatives within the North Americas region to improve brand, retain business, influence / win new business and grow Sales.
- Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
- Participates in formulating and developing long-range sales and marketing goals and objectives.
- Sources new business with current and new customers, to meet defined sales goals of product and service.
- Creates and submits reports of progress and achievements on a biweekly basis.
- Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.
- Promotes sales and engages in discussions/negotiations with major operators and the end customers/users as requested by the account.
- Makes reports of activities to management (business trip reports, Won/Loss reports, periodic meetings/status on activity) and follows actions.
