Inside Sales / Counter Sales – Building Materials

We’re hiring an Inside Sales / Counter Sales Representative to support customers in the building materials and construction industry. This is a fully onsite, branch-based role working directly with contractors, builders, and walk-in customers.

Pay: $24 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (onsite)

Job Responsibilities

• Enter customer orders accurately and efficiently

• Take call-in and walk-in orders at the counter

• Support outside sales representatives with order processing and customer follow-up

• Assist with bids, quotes, and pricing requests

• Provide product recommendations and upsells when appropriate

• Communicate with customers via phone and email

• Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure timely order fulfillment

• Help pull, pack, and stage orders as needed

• Assist in the warehouse when required; forklift operation a plus

Requirements

• 2–3 years of inside sales or counter sales experience (required)

• Prior knowledge of building materials is required , such as:

  • Concrete, rebar, concrete repair products

  • Lumber or general building materials

• Experience in the construction or building supply industry strongly preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Warehouse experience and forklift experience preferred
