The Property Evaluation Specialist is responsible for assessing the value, condition, and marketability of residential and/or commercial properties. This role involves conducting property inspections, analyzing market data, preparing valuation reports, and supporting investment, lending, sales, or asset management decisions. The specialist ensures evaluations are accurate, compliant with regulations, and aligned with market trends.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct on-site and virtual inspections of properties to assess condition, features, and improvements
- Analyze comparable sales, market trends, and neighborhood data to determine property value
- Prepare detailed property evaluation and valuation reports with supporting documentation
- Review property records, titles, zoning, and regulatory compliance information
- Identify risks, defects, and value-impacting factors (structural, legal, environmental, or market-related)
- Collaborate with real estate agents, lenders, investors, contractors, and internal teams
- Ensure evaluations comply with local laws, industry standards, and company policies
- Maintain accurate records and update property databases
- Provide recommendations on pricing, acquisition, disposition, or renovation opportunities
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Highly desired experience in property valuation, appraisal, real estate analysis, or inspections
- Strong knowledge of real estate markets, valuation methods, and property fundamentals
- Ability to interpret financial data, market reports, and legal documents
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, real estate databases, and valuation tools
