Position:
Senior Quality Control Microbiology Specialist
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Location:
Social Circle, GA 30025
Pay Rate: $50.00-$80.00/ Hr on W2
Description:The role of the Senior Quality Control Specialist is to provide technical expertise and support for the operational support functions of the Quality Control (QC) Laboratory.
Responsibilities (not limited to):- Perform compendial assessments to ensure compliance with current regulatory requirements and pharmacopeia standards.
- Author and review technical documents, including protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and analytical methodologies.
- Design and coordinate analytical method onboarding activities, including execution planning, training, and documentation.
- Lead and manage the qualification of critical materials, analytical instrumentation, and laboratory equipment to ensure suitability for analytical testing.
- Oversee change control management processes, including risk assessment, documentation, and implementation.
- Manage Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) related to analytical processes and support timely closure of quality events.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) by providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support to laboratory testing teams.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment and successful execution of cross-functional initiatives.
- Identify and drive continuous improvements in analytical methods and laboratory workflows to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Conduct routine data trending and analysis of laboratory processes and analytical performance to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with global and local teams on quality control initiatives and support process improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
. - 4+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or other regulated industry.
- Strong QC Microbiology experience preferred, including testing, sampling, and laboratory processes.
Competencies:
- Strong understanding of quality laboratory operations and regulatory requirements applicable to regulated manufacturing laboratories.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities within a QC laboratory environment.
- Ability to manage complex projects and resolve technical laboratory issues
. - Excellent technical, communication, and interpersonal skills
, with the ability to work with personnel at all levels and interact with regulatory authorities. - Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis and cGMP standards
. - Strong leadership, project management, and decision-making abilities
. - Good understanding of industry practices and business processes
