The Pre Op/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition to ensure safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. The nurse may assist physicians in the procedure rooms and provide total comprehensive care to patients emerging from deep sedation anesthesia, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in preparation for discharge.
The nurse should be able to make pre‑assessment phone calls and provide guidance for endoscopy procedures.
