Role Summary

Laser Lead Operator in Cornelia, GA. An experienced, individual contributor in Manufacturing Assembly who leads daily activities related to laser needle drilling, including setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Ensures compliance with GMP, GDP, and FDA requirements, delivers quality outputs, and supports safety, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
  • Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable
  • For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed
  • All of the essential functions listed for Laser Needle maker plus the following: oversees and coaches associates through basic performance problems; coordinates and leads day‑to‑day activities in the production manufacturing area; delivers department outputs daily; monitors area and reallocates resources to meet schedule; collaborates with Supervisor on department performance and operator issues; trains new personnel in the area; ensures training adherence for the shift;

    supports projects and validations; maintains cleanliness and maintenance of the department; prepares weekly staffing plan; orders raw materials; leads crossover meetings; responsible for laser schedule/plan attainment; provides recommendations for OEE improvements; promotes a safety‑focused culture; ensures shift employees adhere to GMPs and GDPs; maintains 6S program; ensures safe working conditions and practices; opens work orders for repairs; escalates major safety, quality or equipment downtime issues;

    demonstrates leadership and fosters teamwork; ensures cross‑shift participation; communicates progress and improvements; demonstrates problem‑solving and teamwork; supports hiring and overtime decisions; completes tasks for the Manufacturing Assembly support function; follows best practices for setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery; assists in monitoring and installing components on the assembly line; builds competency with machinery; supports quality tracking and remediation of faulty outputs;

Qualifications
  • Required: Minimum of three years manufacturing experience directly with Needles Laser Drilling; typically 4–6 years of total work experience; computer and database management skills; excellent communication and interpersonal relation skills; statistical and analytical problem solving; must have mechanical skills and be able to provide documentation of mechanical skills and experience; adherence to department safety and GMP procedures; accurate record keeping; working knowledge of basic hand tools and inspection equipment;

    working knowledge of shop math (decimals, fractions, and tolerances); ability to work in a team environment with a CREED‑based respectful manner; compliance with federally regulated programs; adherence to environmental and safety policies and guidelines; compliance with quality system requirements; support Maintenance Excellence (ME2) including 6S and Operator Asset Care; ability to accurately complete records as defined within job procedures; consistently meet required training due date targets;

    perform other work‑related duties as assigned; follow current compliance regulations and standards; adhere to FDA quality and worldwide quality systems; support Plant Diversity Process; ensure safe working conditions and practices in the department; demonstrate ability to consistently meet required work performance targets; demonstrate teamwork in identifying, evaluating, and resolving problems; cover for other operators during breaks, absences, leaves, vacations, etc.;
