Production Iceguards

Overview

Production Iceguards is a job classification that fabricates, assembles, and repairs high-performance parts using materials like carbon fiber and fiberglass, utilizing techniques such as hand lay-up and vacuum bagging. A Production Iceguards team member must repeatedly produce quality products in an efficient manner while maintaining a high regard for his/her own safety and health as well as that of co-workers.

• Responsible for the construction, preparation for cure and final preparation of composite and Iceguard parts and other products as required.
• Manufacture parts using processes such as hand lay-up, vacuum bagging and prepreg lay-up.
• Prepare molds, tools, and materials, including cutting fabrics, mixing resins, and applying release agents.
• Trim, sand, drill, and finish composite components to required tolerances.
• Lay up composite materials and perform other tasks to work instructions, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
• Build, breakout, clean, jig and pack products.
• Must interpret drawings, pictorial representations, written work instructions and engineering drawings.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify product quality and identify defects.
• Maintain safe and effective work area/environment and use appropriate personal protective and safety equipment.
• Must complete proper documentation.
• Must follow written and oral instructions with little supervision.
