Die Cutter Operator - Peachtree City, GA

Responsibilities:- Operate Die Cutter machine, troubleshoot and monitor operation.
- Prepare Die Cutter by performing tasks to produce a consistent, high-quality product by adjusting the die and register for pressure and cutting.
- Perform make ready tasks for high productivity and precision operations, resolve defects and adjustments to produce high-quality product.
- Oversee general technicians working on equipment.
- Make adjustments, clear jams, while processing product, maintaining speed and quality.
- Ensure efficient and rapid make ready, with unloading and loading.
- Ensure quality of jobs completed by reviewing for quality and accuracy.
- Ensure jobs are complete and error-free.
- Ensure finished product exceeds customer expectations.
- Ensure all checklists are completed.
- Support and communicate all ISO standards and quality objectives.
- Comply with cGMP, HACCP Food Safety Requirements and Chain of Custody Program Requirements.
- Ensure complete adherence and compliance to OHSE policies. Assist team members in maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Maintain and follow all company policies and procedures for safety, personal protection, and hazard materials/waste handling.
- Follow all personal protection procedures by using appropriate PPE at all times.
- Follow established procedures and guidelines for handling and disposal of hazardous materials/waste.
- Maintain and wear proper uniform according to company policy.
- Use company-provided safety lifting equipment.
- Properly store and arrange work area to maintain cleanliness and safe environment.
- Interact with the team and co-workers in a way that promotes respect, encourages cooperation, and contributes to excellent performance.
- Communicate accurate information to all team members in a professional and courteous manner.
- Accept direction and feedback from supervisor and follow through appropriately.
- Create and maintain a high-performance environment characterized by positive leadership and strong team orientation.
- Develop the team and encourage each member to do what needs to be done, correctly and efficiently.
- Communicate regularly with team toward goals and required results, providing specific feedback and initiating corrective action when goals or results are not met.
- Motivate crew to improve quantity and quality of work performed and provide training as required.
- Consistently use appropriate established channels of communication.
- Conduct team meetings when necessary.
- High School diploma (or GED).
- Minimum of 3 years of offline Die Cutting experience in the folding carton industry.
- Must have experience with die cutters that have blanking capability.
- Must have interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must possess basic computer skills and mathematical skills necessary to compute percentages, weights, and measures.
- Must be able to perform any and all work or additional tasks as required or requested by Department Leads, Shift Leads, or Management.
- This position requires prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending, and/or reaching, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, hearing and speaking.
- Frequent lifting in excess of 60 lbs is required.
- Must be able to hold, touch, feel and manipulate with hands product and equipment in a safe manner. Manual dexterity is required.
- Use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus as well as good eye-hand coordination.
- Must be able to rotate shifts and be available to work in excess of 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week when necessary to meet customer product needs.
Must-haves: 3+ years of offline die cutting operator experience (preferably with Cleveland or Bobst die cutters). Ability to perform a variety of make readies, resolve defects, troubleshoot, and make adjustments.
Required Skills:
- Offline Die Cutting experience.
- Experience with die cutters that have blanking capability.
- Mathematical skills (computing percentages, weights, and measures).
- Ability to operate Die Cutter machines, troubleshoot, and monitor operations.
