Shift Supervisor - 3rd Shift (Food Production)
Location: Atlanta, GA
Schedule: 3rd Shift | 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Pay: $75,000 - $77,000 (salary)
Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time | Exempt
Job Summary
The Shift Supervisor leads a production team in a food manufacturing environment with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership role, spending most of the shift on the production floor coaching employees and ensuring production goals are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and develop production team members
- Manage performance, discipline, and employee relations
- Support hiring and retention efforts
- Ensure safety, quality, and production standards are met
- Spend the majority of time on the production floor as a hands-on leader
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- Maintain accurate daily production and safety documentation
- Partner with leadership to support on-time customer shipments
- Prior manufacturing or production supervisory experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Results-driven and safety-focused
- Ability to work third shift, long hours, and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Fluent in English
- HACCP training
- Spanish speaking ability
- Microsoft Excel experience
- Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Manufacturing / production floor with heavy machinery
- Exposure to heat and dust
- Schedule is typically Monday-Saturday with some Sunday work as needed
- This role regularly requires long hours and weekend work
