The Manufacturing Department Manager is responsible for leading production operations, managing supervisory and hourly associates, and driving performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. This role focuses on developing high‑performing, self‑directed teams while implementing Lean manufacturing principles in a fast‑paced, complex manufacturing environment.
Educational Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or a related technical field preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of process controls, manufacturing documentation, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Experience developing and managing budgets, cost standards, and production targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Experience working in a Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environment.
- Previous project management experience.
