The Greensboro Plant Supply Chain Team is looking for a Supply Chain Leader. The Supply Chain Leader is responsible for leading, planning, and handling all aspects of the Plants metal supply. Including, but not limited to, tactical and long term strategic planning, forecasting, metal flow, inventory controls, inventory warehousing, and BOM (Bill of Material) management in support of delivering Plant and Business commitments.

The position will own metal supply and recipe management; in support of best‑in‑class operating practices emphasizing safety, quality, production, collaboration, and cost initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • This position is responsible for all aspects of Greensboro’s demand and capacity planning, recipe management and execution, metal inputs, metal flow, metal warehousing and inventory.
  • The position and incumbent must be able to successfully operate and get results within a Matrix Organization. The position has a solid line reporting relationship to the Director of Metal Planning and a very strong dotted line reporting relationship with the Greensboro Plant Manager. The incumbent must be able to balance, champion, and challenge the capabilities of the plant and ongoing needs of the business.
  • The incumbent must be able to collaborate with personnel across various skillsets, backgrounds, and business silos to effectively get results. As the business continues to transform and evolve, the incumbent must be able to adapt, positively lead change, and deliver on commitments.
  • The position will be required to serve as a champion for the World Class Management (WCM) rollout at the facility.
  • The position is responsible for reporting and analysis on all aspects of metal inputs, flow, and inventory positions. The incumbent must be actively engaged in the day‑t‑day operations of the plant, movement of metal through the process, and become a trusted and valued resource across the plant with expertise and solutions for metal mix, flow, scrap processing, staging, improved production, quality, and cost.
  • The position will be expected to help create and develop tools, processes, and reports in SAP, Excel, and Business Intelligence in support of the business unit goals and objectives.
  • The incumbent will be actively engaged in the development and mentoring of Plant personnel. The position will require a passion for the development and continuous improvement of self and others.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or qualifying experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 3–5 years of related experience.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills; ability to communicate with all levels in the organization
  • Desire to take initiative and develop a pro‑active relationship with internal and external customers
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize workload; must be able to handle multiple tasks at once without sacrificing attention to detail
  • Must be flexible and able to operate in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong computer skills with software applications proficiency, including Microsoft Office products and SAP
