Job SummaryPosition reports to Supply Room Supervisor. Will be responsible for maintaining the tool room. Will ensure that tools are properly stored, receive proper preventative maintenance, and issued to employees when needed. Will be responsible for tracking parts.
Duties and Responsibilities- Create requisitions to replenish inventory.
- Organize and prioritize requisitions from maintenance department.
- Submit requisitions to buyers.
- Receive parts shipments and log into system.
- Perform daily cycle counts of inventory, focusing on critical parts first.
- Create and ensure accuracy of inventory in database.
- Maintain a clean and organized parts room.
- Other duties as assigned by facilities supervisor.
- Maintain records of tools and equipment issued to maintenance employees.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be a motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office software.
- Basic math skills.
- Attention to detail and organization skills.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and control standards.
- Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers.
- Ability to receive, track, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic.
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects; capable of lifting up to 50lbs.
- Good sense of how tools operate & their functions.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check is required.
