Position Overview

The following list includes primary responsibilities and is not meant to be all-inclusive:

• Actively participap in elements of Greensboro, Novelis Safety System
• Ensure compliance to environmental requirements
• Unload trucks
• Ensure quality of incoming material
• Maintain feed rate to melters
• Maintain records using computerized systems, including SAP/MES
• Account for receipt/shipment of material by truck
• Basica maintenance of cold metal equipment
• Keep all work areas clean and bright

This is a list of physical requirements, related to a person's ability to handle certain physical, mental, emotional demands of the position:

• Climb on/off fork truck several times a day
• Climb stairs occasionally
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Work rotatin shift schedule, including nights and weekends
• Be able to work a temperatures 100 degrees in the summer

Novelis’ Greensboro facility is located in Greensboro Georgia. With 140 employees it is the first stand-alone used beverage can recycling facility in the company now responsible for pioneering a majority of Novelis’ recycling technologies. Residents enjoy nearby Lake Oconee which includes several golf communities. In addition Athens Georgia – home to the University of Georgia and hundreds of cultural and sporting events each year – is a short drive away.
