About

the Role

The Electrode Production Supervisor will oversee and coordinate all activities related to the manufacturing of electrodes within a high-volume production environment. This role is critical in ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining strict adherence to quality standards and safety protocols. The supervisor will lead a team of production operators, providing guidance, training, and performance management to optimize efficiency and product consistency.

They will collaborate closely with engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Ultimately, the role ensures that electrode products are manufactured on schedule, within budget, and to the exact specifications required by customers.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
    Associate degree or higher in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electrode or similar production.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast‑paced production setting.
  • Proficiency with production management software and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related discipline.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with electrode manufacturing technologies and materials.
  • Certification in safety management or production supervision.
  • Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily electrode production operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
  • Manage, train, and develop production staff to maintain high levels of performance and safety compliance.
  • Monitor production processes and equipment, identifying and resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including quality control, maintenance, and engineering to implement process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports on output, quality metrics, and team performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the production area.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.

The successful candidate will utilize strong leadership and communication skills daily to manage and motivate their production team effectively. Analytical skills are essential for monitoring production metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing corrective actions to maintain quality and efficiency. Technical skills related to manufacturing processes and equipment operation will be applied to troubleshoot issues and collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams. Proficiency in production management software and data analysis tools will support accurate reporting and decision‑making.

Additionally, knowledge of safety standards and continuous improvement techniques will be critical in fostering a safe, productive, and quality‑focused work environment.
