Job Description

The owner profiling and welding beams on an automated line. Responsible for profiling (cutting and shaping) steel beams according to precise specifications, then welding them on an automated production line—ensuring quality, dimensional accuracy, and safe operation throughout the entire process.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all beam welds meet the quality standards defined by EN 1090 Execution Class

    C.
  • Maintain quality documents, production procedures, cleaning, and security on the SharePoint server.
  • Record production orders on ERP and encode quality and performance controls in the appropriate software.
  • Perform guidelines and procedures for 5S audits.
  • Operate production line (roll forming and welding line with robots).
  • Use quality inspection equipment: slide ided, meter, bench and measuring station, automatic weld control camera and hook control camera.
  • Use tools such as nibbler to cut coil beginnings, various hand tools, and spare parts for robot interventions.
  • Perform PPE checks (shoes, gloves, earplugs, cap, glasses, welding helmet).
  • Handle working environment hazards: noise, welding smoke, arc welding, moving coils, strapping, manual load handling.
  • Maintain table of required products:
    Deraclean, argon C15, butane, HFO 45, Hydro HVI 46, interflon tube HT, sodium hydroxide 0.1 mol/l, Syndus SP 200.
  • Adjust and perform work‑pace tasks: changes of lengths, hooks, coil change, hook power supply, etc.
  • Handle coil changes: turn unwinder, introduce coil into leveler, insert into roll forming machine, set automatic unwinding, introduce into flying shears, cut short length, set line to automatic, check profile dimensions and adjust if necessary.
  • Perform production changes: profile type, coil, adjust numeric values, change cutting dies, reset weld line, send new profile types to robots, modify mechanical values of stations.
  • Perform length changes: update roll forming or punching screen, change station positioning, modify mechanical values, adjust robots.
  • Perform bracket changes: remove hooks, set new types on screen, reset line, update conveyor.
  • Adapt welding positions of robots with supervisor’s permission.
  • Repair bad welds manually with basic welder.
  • Maintain robots at welding level: contact tip, welding nozzle, TCP control, torch, sheaths, welding wires, and cleaning/oiling of welding wire unwinders.
  • Perform cleaning and maintain line hygiene; each team cleans once every two weeks.
  • Manage waste: sort good profiles from bad; aim to minimize waste.
  • Follow ERP: software encoding for quality control and throughput.
  • Warn painters on colour expectations.
  • Provide Level 1 maintenance and assist with basic repairs.
  • Perform 5S audits as per instructions.
Qualifications
  • Experience profiling and welding beams on automated lines.
  • Knowledge of machine operation and welding robots handling, positioning, and control.
  • Experience with TCP Torch Control and profiling adjustments.
  • Ability to read profile maps.
  • Understanding of welding permit process for repairs.
  • Working proficiency with computers, ERP, and related software.
  • Solid knowledge of safety and quality control procedures.
Equipment & Tools
  • Roll forming line and welding line with robots.
  • Slide ided, meter, bench, measuring station, automatic weld control camera, hook control camera.
  • Nibbler for cutting coil beginnings.
  • Standard hand tools (wrenches, pliers).
  • Spare parts for small interventions on robots.
  • Welding machine.
  • PPE: shoes, gloves, earplugs, cap, glasses, welding helmet.
  • IT: PC with ERP and related software.
Working Environment
