Operations Manager, Data Science Manager

Overview
This role serves as a senior global SCM partner, enabling regional supply chain organizations to improve operational productivity, inventory performance, loss avoidance, and supply stability across PAS operations. From a global perspective, the position establishes common performance frameworks, KPI definitions, and analytical approaches, and works directly with regional SCM teams to identify gaps, frame problems, and support region‑led improvement actions. The role does not direct or own regional execution, but provides hands‑on analytical insight, operational perspective, and facilitation to help regions initiate and sustain effective improvement activities across planning, manufacturing, logistics, and warehousing.
ResponsibilitiesGlobal Performance Enablement & Alignment
- Establish and maintain global SCM performance frameworks, KPI definitions, and reporting standards.
- Enable alignment between global SCM expectations and regional execution realities.
- Facilitate fact‑based performance discussions with regional SCM leaders.
- Surface systemic risks, cross‑regional trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Partner with regional SCM teams to frame complex operational problems and identify root causes.
- Support regions in initiating improvement actions related to inventory, service, loss, and operational stability.
- Apply and coach structured problem‑solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, MMOG, lean, value‑stream mapping).
- Act as a connector across regions, enabling sharing of best practices and lessons learned.
- Analyze multi‑source operational data (MRP, ISP/API, inventory, logistics, customer schedules) to identify systemic issues.
- Translate data into clear insights, implications, and guiding questions for regional teams.
- Develop executive‑level dashboards and performance views that support decision‑making.
- Ensure consistency in KPI interpretation and performance logic across regions.
- Serve as a business process subject matter expert for SCM data and system usage.
- Partner with IT and BI teams to translate operational needs into effective reporting and tools.
- Support testing, deployment readiness, and user understanding of SCM tools without acting as system owner.
- Act as a trusted global counterpart to regional SCM, plant, and operations leaders.
- Facilitate constructive, data‑driven discussions across cultures and regions.
- Prepare concise executive summaries and recommendations for leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 7–12+ years of experience across supply chain and manufacturing operations.
- Broad end‑to‑end SCM exposure (planning, manufacturing execution, logistics, warehousing).
- Proven experience supporting or enabling cross‑regional improvement initiatives.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP SCM data and BI platforms.
- Automotive / complex manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
