Are you a visionary leader ready to make a significant impact on a large-scale manufacturing operation? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to take the helm of all on-site supply chain and yard management activities at a major manufacturing facility. In this pivotal role, you will directly influence the efficiency and success of a critical production environment, ensuring seamless operations and driving strategic initiatives.
Your leadership will be instrumental in optimizing logistics, fostering strong partnerships, and cultivating a high-performing team.
- As the senior-most leader of operations, you will be accountable for developing strategic direction, driving operational excellence, and ensuring uninterrupted service to the assembly line.
- You will build and mentor a high-performing team, uphold stringent safety standards, and maintain robust partnerships with key stakeholders.
- This role demands strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to translate operational data into actionable business results.
- Develop and execute the supply chain operations strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead capacity planning, shuttle scheduling, and operational design to ensure uninterrupted supply to assembly lines.
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive cost efficiency, scalability, and long-term growth.
- Oversee budgeting and P&L management for supply chain operations.
- Direct all yard, shuttle, and switching operations to achieve on-time and error-free delivery performance.
- Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure consistent monitoring of operational efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of yard/shuttle equipment, including preventive maintenance schedules.
- Manage returnable asset flows (carts, racks, dollies) and ensure inventory integrity.
- Champion a safety-first culture across all operations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, CTPAT, and facility-specific regulations.
- Oversee implementation of safety audits, training programs, and corrective actions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operations managers, supervisors, and coordinators.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee performance reviews, succession planning, and leadership development for key talent.
- Serve as the senior liaison with major clients and other key stakeholders.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships to support seamless communication and issue resolution.
- Represent the organization at executive-level meetings and provide regular operational performance updates.
- Own the operations P&L, ensuring profitability and accurate forecasting.
- Oversee weekly invoicing, settlements, and cost-control initiatives.
- Provide executive-level reporting and analysis on performance, risk, and opportunities.
- Language Requirement:
Korean Bilingual - Required - Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, transportation, or logistics operations.
- 7+ years in a senior managerial or leadership role within yard, shuttle, or automotive supply chain operations
- Strong financial and P&L management experience.
- Proven ability to lead large teams and complex operations.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
- Expertise in yard/shuttle operations, sequencing, and plant logistics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/logistics systems.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and lead through complexity.
- Strong customer orientation and relationship management skills.
- Master s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or an MBA.
- Direct experience supporting automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) or Tier 1 suppliers.
- Commercial Driver s License (CDL)-A and hands-on operational experience in yard/shuttle environments.
