Distribution Center Supervisor directs the daily planning, organizing, and operations of a distribution center. Leads a multi-disciplinary team to fulfill the daily responsibilities of the center by overseeing the receipt of inbound materials and fulfillment of customer orders, including processing, picking, and packaging. Through the leading of personnel, accomplishes work results by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, coaching, and counseling employees; initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies and procedures.
Complies with all OSHA and safety procedures. Reports on those activities to management in the support of company initiatives, standards, policies and overall continuous improvement.
- Supervise warehouse personnel to accomplish positive work results, establish priorities, and monitor progress toward Key Performance Indicator (KPIs).
- Report, as needed to management, the results of warehouse and distribution activities.
- Ensure all employees work to देते a high level of productivity in all areas while maintaining a best in class level of quality and customer service.
- Support company initiatives by enforcing organization standards and policies.
- Support the creation and sustainment or processes and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and supporting continuous improvement.
- Support the efforts of other departments through prompt responsiveness to requests and inquiries.
- Abides by all established organizational policies, rules, and regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- 3 years experience in a warehouse, distribution or manufacturing setting
- 2-5 years supervising a minimum of 5 associates
- Using applicable reports to drive KPI success
- Maintaining quality, safety, and cleanliness in a distribution environment
- aries working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Warehouse Management System (WMS) systems
- Collaborating with other key departments
- Supporting continuous improvement efforts
- Ability to lead, problem solve, establish team goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to organize daily work flow and track progress
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint饰园
- Knowledge of Epicor a plus
- Ability to accomplish goals, maintain priorities, monitor work progress, report results
- Training in mun material handling principles
- Training in operating powered industrial equipment
- Forklift certified, or ability to become certified
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
