Project Manager 3 – Nuclear Experience

Location: Baxley, GA

Contract: 5 Months

Client: Southern Nuclear

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager 3 to provide oversight and leadership in the successful execution of nuclear plant projects. The role requires strong field experience in nuclear environments, with a focus on managing supplemental personnel, reviewing technical deliverables, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

• Field Oversight
  :
  Supervise and provide direction to supplemental personnel working on-site, ensuring compliance with plant safety and operational standards.
• Work Product Review
  :
  Review technical and administrative deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements and plant procedures.
• Schedule & Budget Tracking
  :
  Monitor progress against project schedules and budgets; track milestones, variances, and provide regular reporting to management.
• Coordination & Interface
  :
  Collaborate and coordinate with plant departments, engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to support seamless project implementation.
• Compliance & Safety
  :
  Ensure adherence to nuclear safety standards, site procedures, and regulatory requirements, promoting a strong safety culture across project activities.

• Experience
  :
• 8–10 years of project management experience, with direct nuclear power plant experience required
  .
• Demonstrated success in managing field oversight and cross-department coordination.

• Certifications
  :
• Task Manager Qualification (required).
• Clearance and Tagging Qualification (required).

• Systems Knowledge (preferred):
• ESOMS (Electronic Shift Operations Management System)
• MAXIMO (Work Management System)
• PDMS (Plant Data Management System)
• P6 Primavera Scheduling Software

• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to facilitate communication across multiple stakeholders.
• Proficient in identifying risks, troubleshooting issues, and developing corrective action plans.
• Effective decision-making skills, especially under time-sensitive conditions.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.

• Primarily based at the nuclear plant site.
• Mix of field oversight and office-based administrative tasks.
• Must be available for in-field oversight and coordination activities on a regular basis.
