All classified positions will strengthen the delivery of instruction to support the system’s mission statement. This position supervises and directs others in assigned custodial duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Supervises and evaluates subordinate’s performance.
- Plans, schedules, and directs custodial staff in order to utilize resources and maximize the efficiency of personnel.
- Provides training on custodial procedures including the proper operation of equipment and use of supplies.
- Inspects, maintains, and cleans all related equipment.
- Oversees the proper use and storage of all custodial equipment, chemicals and supplies.
- Orders supplies and requests equipment repairs in accordance with established procedures.
- Performs minor maintenance as needed.
- Secures building as directed.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the Custodian Coordinator and/or assigned supervisor.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the system’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and problem solving.

- Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. - Certificate or License
Required:
Valid Georgia Driver’s License. - Language
Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations. - Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. - Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple instructions and to problem solve.
