Job Description
Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor provides maintenance support and is accountable for delivering on commitments to residents, including quality move‑in, resident satisfaction, timely service and personal attention. This role responds to resident service requests and helps Cushman & Wakefield deliver superior customer service.
- Prepare all market‑ready apartments – painting, carpet cleaning/repair, general repairs and housekeeping – to ensure a quality product for residents.
- Complete resident service requests in a timely manner.
- Apply knowledge of maintenance functions: plumbing, pool maintenance, air conditioning, heating, carpentry, appliance, electrical, painting, caulking, snow removal, scheduling, and life safety.
- Maintain grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas and dog parks; keep them clean, free of trash and safe.
- Perform on‑call emergency procedures as required.
- Report maintenance issues that affect the budget (life safety, vacant repairs, property damage, common area needs) to the manager.
- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance and record activities.
- Maintain knowledge of state, local and federal housing laws, codes, policies and systems regarding maintenance.
- Attend and participate in required training programs by Cushman & Wakefield, local city and state jurisdictions.
- Provide superior customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.
- Availability to work any shift Sunday‑Saturday.
- Knowledge of safe use of cleaning agents and equipment.
- Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals.
- Ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages and prepare/interpret bar graphs.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- EPA 608 – Minimum Type II or relevant local certification (CPO) if required.
- Follow all Cushman & Wakefield safety policies and procedures.
- High School Diploma, GED, trade, technical or vocational school.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- EPA 608 – Minimum Type II, or local city required certificate.
This job operates in a professional office environment with standard office equipment (computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines). The role requires travel between properties in varying weather conditions.
Physical DemandsTravel from floor to floor, climb stairs, and travel outside between buildings. Stand or sit 85% of the time. Lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 100 pounds occasionally or frequently.
Benefits & CompensationThe compensation for the position is $25.50 – $30.00 per hour. Benefits include health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time off. Pay varies with location, experience, and bargaining agreements; the company will not pay less than minimum wage.
