Overview

Generalist - Human Resources (Non-Exempt) at Sea Island Company. The HR Generalist supports Sea Island’s culture, focusing on retention, development of team members, and HR processes that support these goals. You are creative, detail oriented, and able to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

You possess excellent organizational skills and discretion when handling confidential information. You are positive, self-motivated, with an enthusiastic attitude, and you maintain integrity, self-awareness, patience, empathy, and strong service orientation toward team members in a dynamic setting.

You are a valuable contributor to the growth of the company and culture, requiring knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state employment laws. You support the HR team in delivering seamless HR service focused on driving results that assist the Operations team in caring for guests, members, and team members. You relate well to individuals at all levels within the organization and are sensitive to operational needs and team member goodwill.

Through your efforts, you are focused on enriching the lives of all stakeholders and helping the department and Sea Island grow.

You work with a variety of people and personality types, cooperate with co-workers, and resolve service issues in a timely and positive manner. You are proactive in assisting when needed and willing to help with other areas or duties as requested. You are resourceful and creative to aid in the growth and development of the department and Sea Island; you uphold and ensure compliance with departmental procedures, including standards for quality, timing, attendance, and appearance.

You follow and support Sea Island safety protocols and maintain situational awareness to ensure staffing, tidiness, and general maintenance needs are addressed or reported promptly. You maintain knowledge of Sea Island properties, services, and offerings and share this information with guests, members, and team members. The HR Generalist will support various areas of the Human Resources department and provide ongoing support to enhance the Team Member experience.

Responsibilities
  • Support internal communications, team member events, benefits, and learning and development.
  • Assist with policy and procedure knowledge and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Provide seamless HR service to aid the Operations team in caring for guests, members, and team members.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to respond to inquiries and resolve service issues in a timely, positive manner.
  • Uphold departmental procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Support staffing, tidiness, and maintenance awareness within Sea Island properties and facilities where applicable.
