The HR Representative is responsible for providing HR support and guidance to employees and managers.
Responsibilities- Handles HR administrative tasks and supports HR policies and programs including recruitment, engagement, Kronos administration and performance management.
- Provides on-the-spot HR support for employee questions and concerns such as interpersonal conflicts, benefits questions, or work issues.
- Advises and assists employees on protocols to address employee relations matters.
- Assists with attendance issues, including explaining call-in procedures or handling no-call/no-show incidents.
- Promotes a positive and inclusive workplace culture and morale through HR visibility and engagement with team members.
- Ensures consistent enforcement of company policies and compliance with labor laws during second-shift operations.
- Assists supervisors with write-ups, corrective action documentation, and coaching plans.
- Assists with HR projects, audits, and compliance initiatives.
- Helps onboard new team members, including providing badges, uniforms, and safety training as needed.
- Supports hiring events or interview scheduling.
- Conducts new hire check-ins, making sure employees are settling in and have what they need.
- Plans and delivers shift engagement activities such as Years of Service ceremonies and cookouts.
- Acts as a liaison between team members and leadership.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
- 2–4 years in an HR role with prior experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or shift-based environment strongly preferred.
- Must be proactive, people-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced, shift-based environment and can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Solid understanding of HR principles, labor regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Able to walk and stand, use arms and legs for long periods including wrist turning and finger manipulation.
- Employee stands frequently with tasks requiring consistent bending, stooping, kneeling, or crawling to complete.
- May be exposed to extreme temperature conditions.
- Moderate to loud noise levels; hearing protection required.
