About the Opportunity
The Staff Pad has partnered with Blue Ridge Medical Center
to identify a detail-oriented and dependable
Certified Pharmacy Technician
to join their pharmacy team. This position plays a critical role in supporting pharmacists in delivering safe, accurate, and efficient medication services to patients across the hospital.
The Pharmacy Technician assists with medication preparation and distribution, inventory management, and maintaining accurate patient and medication records. This role operates under the supervision of a registered pharmacist and supports the pharmacy team in maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and pharmaceutical care.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and distribute medications under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Assist in the procurement, storage, and inventory management of pharmaceuticals.
Maintain accurate patient medication records and documentation.
Support pharmacists in ensuring safe and effective medication dispensing.
Assist the Director of Pharmacy with administrative and operational pharmacy functions.
Ensure proper medication handling, billing, dispensing, and accountability procedures are followed.
Respond to medication requests and urgent pharmacy needs efficiently.
Collaborate with healthcare staff to support patient care across the hospital.
23 years of pharmacy technician experience preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidential and professional working relationships
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Emotional maturity and the ability to perform well under pressure
Registration with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician is required
National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred
Ability to work collaboratively with pharmacy and health-system staff
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage frequent interruptions and changing priorities
Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
Capability to support the pharmaceutical care needs of
neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
