Position: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - Braselton, GA
Location: Braselton

Busy Nephrology practice has an opening for a BACK OFFICE Medical Assistant. Our ideal candidate will have completed an accredited Medical Assisting program, have experience in an acute care setting, and is familiar with basic medical terminology. Being a growing office, attendance and flexibility is very important. Our position requires multitasking, attention to detail, excellent computer skills, being a team player, and being a fast learner.

Must have good phone etiquette.

We have multiple positions available, depending on the position travel may be required. Our office locations include:
Gainesville, Habersham, Cumming, Braselton, and Johns Creek. Locations are dependent on the position as not all positions go to all locations but we do have a few that do. Some positions may also require travel to dialysis centers as needed.

We reimburse mileage at the highest allowable rate from the IRS.

Responsibilities
  • Obtaining Vitals and patient rooming
  • Medication Review and Refill Requests
  • Appointment & Test Scheduling
  • Answering Clinical line calls and documenting appropriately
  • Responding to Patient Messages via our EMR system (EPIC)
  • Patient Scheduling
  • Some transcription while at dialysis units
  • Prior Authorizations for Medications via Cover My Meds
Requirements
  • Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Demonstrates interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrates communication skills.
  • Demonstrates literacy in using computers and keyboarding.
  • Skills in problem-solving, setting priorities, and using good judgment for decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure.
  • Current National Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA)
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one year of back office experience in a medical assistant position within an acute care facility.
  • Clinical knowledge and/or training in Nephrology a plus.
  • Familiarity in documenting in an electronic medical record system. Use of EPIC a plus.
  • Salary commensurate with experience.
