Main duties of the jobYou will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients
- Deliver prescribed care to a defined group of patients/Service users that reflect their individual needs
- Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse. This includes the evaluation and review of these plans, with the patient/Service User, on a frequent basis, that is reflective of their needs
- Contribute to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with all members of the Multi-Disciplinary team
- Build relationships and effectively communicates and engages with external professionals and stake holders

Job responsibilitiesPriory Hospital Bristol is looking to recruit a Senior Staff Nurse to join the team on our Rehab and Recovery ward. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours a week.
Person Specification Requirements- The post holder must be a qualified Registered Adult Nurse with 612 months post-registration experience, holding active NMC registration and having completed a preceptorship or equivalent programme. They must demonstrate sound knowledge of NMC standards, guidelines, requirements, and professional practice, alongside evidence of post-registration continuing professional development. The role requires a positive attitude and a strong commitment to change, continuous improvement, and quality, with the ability to adopt flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills are essential, as is IT literacy. In addition, candidates must have a minimum of 612 months post-registration experience within Mental Health or Learning Disability Nursing, supported by evidence of ongoing professional development in the relevant field.
