An inpatient forensic facility is seeking a full-time Psychologist to support a new unit. The credentialing process typically takes about two weeks, with a 6-month contract starting ASAP and the option to extend beyond the initial period.
About the Facility LocationThe inpatient forensic facility is about an half and a half from Atlanta, GA.
About the Clinician's WorkdayThis full-time Psychologist position is for an inpatient forensic facility treating adults aged 18 and older. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with onsite availability preferred. One day a week may include telehealth. The Psychologist will manage a caseload of 17-22 patients, seeing 4-5 patients per day, with risk assessments conducted annually for each patient. A doctorate in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) is required, along with an active GA license.
Previous inpatient and forensic experience is preferred, though not mandatory. The role involves collaboration with MDs, PMHNPs, and other Psychologists, using Avatar EMR.
