Job Responsibilities- Function as an expanded role nurse providing patient care consistent with patient’s level of need.
- Utilize the EMR system to accurately document patient care and enter billing information for reimbursement.
- Order and dispense medications based on nursing assessment and established nurse protocol.
- Serve as patient advocate and refer patients to community partners or private physicians, when indicated.
- Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Completion of a PHN course within one year of hire.
- Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license.
- CPR certification.
- College transcripts required.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- One year of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse.
All West Central Health District 7 employees are deemed essential workers in emergencies. Employees may be required to staff shelters, specimen collection sites, or point‑of‑dispensing sites during an emergency.
Employment InformationCurrent state employees are subject to State Personnel Board rules. College credits may be accepted if recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or the U.S. Department of Education. The employer may conduct pre‑employment drug screening and criminal background checks. Relocation assistance is not provided.
