DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Manager to support our utility‑scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Georgia. This role is both a compliance leader and a people leader. In addition to ensuring strong environmental performance across projects, this individual will provide leadership, coaching, and direction to our Environmental Specialists in the field.
We are looking for someone who sets the standard, builds capability within the team, and creates consistency in how environmental programs are executed across projects. This position requires up to 50% travel within Georgia. Georgia residency is strongly preferred. Per diem options are available.
The Environmental Compliance team is a support capability that partners side by side with departments across DEPCOM to provide routine support and oversight of environmental programs and performance from Project Development to Project Close‑out.
What You Will Do- Provide environmental leadership and oversight for utility‑scale solar and BESS construction projects across Georgia
- Lead, coach, and develop Environmental Specialists to strengthen field execution, technical competency, and decision‑making
- Serve as the subject matter expert on Georgia environmental regulations, including EPD permitting and NPDES requirements
- Ensure effective implementation of SWPPP, SPCC, and applicable federal, state, and local permits
- Conduct audits, inspections, and compliance reviews while driving timely corrective actions and risk mitigation
- Support regulatory inspections, reporting, and environmental incident response, including root cause analysis
- Demonstrated experience leading environmental compliance programs within construction, industrial, or energy environments
- Proven leadership experience managing, mentoring, or developing environmental professionals or field teams
- Certified Stormwater Inspector (or equivalent)
- Experience managing environmental permits, inspections, agency interactions, and compliance documentation with minimal oversight
- Ability to travel to project locations (up to 50%) and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Experience in the solar industry or supporting utility‑scale renewable energy or BESS projects
- Direct experience working with Georgia EPD or within a regulatory enforcement environment
- Experience building or scaling environmental programs across multiple projects
- Degree or formal coursework in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, Policy, or Construction Management
