Mechanical Designer

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate, professional engineering drawings from redlines and design schematics.
• Coordinate CAD work with engineers, designers, and CAD drafters to meet project timelines.
• Serve as lead designer on complex and multi-discipline projects.
• Ensure implementation and ongoing adherence to company CAD standards.
• Create and maintain P&IDs, PFDs, GA drawings, structural drawings, and mechanical detail drawings in AutoCAD.
• Lead design reviews, present models, and document required revisions.
• Manage multiple projects from concept through on-time, on-budget completion.
• Coordinate CAD-related work with clients, vendors, and external consultants.
• Resolve design and technical issues as they arise.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with civil, electrical, chemical, mechanical, and facilities teams.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Plant 3D experience preferred. Other 3D modelling experience should suffice.
• Experience producing P&IDs, PFDs, GA drawings, structural drawings, and mechanical detail drawings for chemical processing equipment (or closely related like oil/gas, etc.).
• Not looking for pure "walk-down people... but more "As-Built related folks.
• Ability to generate accurate drawings from redlines and engineering schematics.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Experience coordinating work with engineers, CAD drafters, and cross-functional teams.
