We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Plant Process Control Engineer to join our team in the first of its kind renewable SAF production plant
. This position plays a critical role in developing, implementing, and optimizing process control strategies to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process control systems, process safety, and plant operations, with demonstrated leadership in managing automation projects and mentoring others.

Execute best-in-class safety, process safety, and environmental performance in the design, construction, startup, and continued operation of our facility. Through mentoring/direction of Senior Process Engineering staff, this individual will:

• Develop into the process controls subject matter expert (SME) for the FPF team. Provide engineering expertise for optimization and troubleshooting issues for all processes including catalytic reactions, distillation, heat transfer, purification, etc.
• Develop, configure, and optimize process control strategies (simple and complex loops), and author control narratives aligned with operational and safety standards.
• Promote process safety management (PSM) by leading Management of Change (MOC) activities, Root Cause Analyses (RCA), and continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage and maintain control system hardware, firmware, and backups; ensure adequate strategic spare parts inventory for reliability
• Plan, execute, and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), commissioning, and start‑ups of new or modified process units
• Troubleshoot and optimize process performance, control loops, and instrumentation across plant operations
• Work with Allen Bradley Control Logix, Factory Talk View ME/SE, Asset Centre, and Plant
