Overview

As part of the America’s team, SANY is looking to recruit a driven, forward-thinking and highly motivated Heavy Equipment Training Content Specialist. The Heavy Equipment Training Content Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining technical training materials for heavy equipment sales groups, technicians, and internal SANY personnel. This role ensures that training programs are accurate, engaging, and aligned with operational, safety, and regulatory requirements for the North American market.

The specialist collaborates with subject matter experts, engineers, human resources and training teams to create high-quality instructional content for classroom, e-learning, and field-based training.

SANY America is pursuing an aggressive growth strategy that requires a strong and consistent dealer network supporting the increased market share. This role will require someone who has the ability to multi-task, understand the inner workings of a heavy equipment organization and address training team needs while being a problem solver that can create and improve processes with outside-the-box thinking. With current revenues over $500 million, SANY America continues to make strong progress and significant investments in the Americas market;

the organization is now pursuing an aggressive growth strategy and is looking to move quickly beyond this initial platform and increase their market share.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop training curriculum for heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and safety.
  • Create instructional materials including:
  • Training manuals
  • Instructor guides
  • Participant workbooks
  • E-learning modules
  • Videos and presentations
  • Job aids and assessments
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts such as equipment engineers, product managers, operators, human resources and internal service technicians to gather accurate technical information.
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, learner-friendly training content.
  • Develop hands-on training exercises and simulations for equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Ensure training content aligns with safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain and update training materials as equipment models, technologies, and procedures evolve.
  • Support the implementation/Integration of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other SANY business platforms.
  • Conduct training needs analysis and identify skill gaps among trainee audience.
  • Assist in pilot testing training programs and incorporate feedback to improve effectiveness.
  • Support field training initiatives and occasionally deliver training sessions.
  • Maintain in-office attendance of at least 3 days each week.
Professional Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in:
    Instructional Design, Technical Education, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Construction Management, or related field
  • OR Equivalent combination of education and hands-on heavy equipment experience.
Preferred Experience
  • 3–7 years of experience in:
    • Technical training development
    • Heavy equipment operations or maintenance
    • Construction, mining, agriculture, or industrial equipment
    • Experience developing technical training documentation.
    • Familiarity with equipment from companies such as: SANY, Caterpillar, Komatsu, John Deere, Volvo Construction Equipment.
    • Experience using e-learning tools such as:
      Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or Absorb

Travel Requirements
  • Preferred location is in the South Central Regions of the United States

Compensation

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. It will include a base salary and other exceptional benefits
